Kohl, age 7 at the time, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma on August 17th, 2006. The tumor was located in his right forearm on the radius bone. He was lucky enough to have had a football helmet hit exactly where the tumor was located, which caused it to swell to where we could see the lump. Kohl has since endured 13 months of chemo and a radius bone transplant. He finished chemo in August 2007 and continues to get scans and tests done, which so far have all come back clean. Throughout treatment, Kohl kept an amazing sense of humor and positive attitude. He cracked many jokes about chemo and its rugged side affects. He has taught many of us so much. He has made us better parents, but more importantly, better people.
