The Miracle Party 2009 was double the size, budget, and impact as the 2008 event.
Words cannot describe the Miracles that night. A young Leukemia patient got to attend his last celebration among his cancer friends, over 200 children enjoyed crafts together, more than 4 groups performed musical entertainment, over 1,100 people, tears, and joy made this year's 2009 Miracle Party a night to remember and a night to forget Childhood Cancer.
Our Miracle Children can't thank you enough for your support - for being there to see the faces of Childhood Cancer. Our celebration is shared by over 35 oncology patients and their families. Each year we hope to grow this and reach more children. Thousands fight cancer and need this night to really celebrate their journey and just party.
Musical entertainment was provided by the Kory Brunson Band, Mark Holloway, The Fogue, and Video DJ Brian Howe. This year, a state-of-the-art stage and lighting display was brought in, the Aurora Channel 8 TV Truck was behind the convention center providing live video display and recording from 3 cameras, and a full concert sound system was brought in. We had two bounce houses, a bungee run, video game display, craft area, foundation display tables, and an aerial gymnast performance.
